The best solution is, more often than not, the simplest one available. But sometimes a project can require a new perspective to come up with something truly remarkable. When we finish one of these projects, we write case studies so anyone can learn from it.
Recent Case Studies
Eagles Beachwear - From Paper to Digital
Until recently, Eagles Beachwear was taking inventory, working with vendors, and managing over a dozen store locations all on paper. They tried off-the-shelf software to manage some of these tasks, but quickly found that it had many features they didn't need, and was lacking some things that were absolutely crucial to their business; as happens often without a custom software solution.
Once they got in contact with Lumina, we found that the best solution for their needs would be a new software system, made custom for their business and only their business. They now use the web-based warehouse system to manage vendors, purchases, and store inventories; as well as the Eagles Beachwear Store App on iPads at each store location. This allows for quick, digital inventory management and reporting for thousands upon thousands of different products at each location.
FlatRate Moving - Changes Yield 2x Quote Requests
FlatRate Moving already had a good conversion rate on their website for quote requests. But in the summer of 2014, they wanted to improve their website and clean up its design; so we suggested several different changes that were implemented in development.
Within a week of the new website's debut, the conversion rate more than doubled and the site was met with positive shifts in SEO, visitor use, and general interest. With changes continuing - including a Live Chat feature that's become widely successful, the site has continued to show improvement.
Paragon Security - A Modern Redesign
Still in progress, Paragon Security's website is being redesigned. More focus is being put on content and restructuring so that users find what they're looking for more easily. The design is also being simplified so as not to distract from the wide array of services the company offers.
Paragon Security found that with a focus on products and many services, users had a hard time making clear paths to what they needed. With a restructure and stronger application of interactivity, the migration and redesign of the site are going smoothly - with expectations being high for a positive result.
