For the past 2 weeks, I hadn’t written any articles or blog posts. Why you ask? For more than a month, the office has been very strongly focused on a really big design change to… well, everything really. And as the in-house designer, it’s been a project that I’ve had a very big hand in. The main thing that we’ve been focused on, as the title suggests, is designing a completely new logo.
As I mentioned in Friday’s blog post, a logo can have a huge impact on how successful a business, organization, or person can be. A good logo reflects what you do, and how customers should think of you. A great logo does that, and has the ability to be easily recognized – even when changed!

In the month between then and now, I’ve been working with the rest of the team in figuring out exactly what we want our new site to be. My major role in this project is more in graphic design and art theory than it is in programming.
Last week, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed off some big changes to the News Feed. Social media managers, marketers, and enthusiasts alike stood in awe of the changes and brand-spanking new layout. So what exactly is gonna happen and how?

Big and small, colorful and bland, fun and boring; there are a lot of different types, but each one of them is vital. I mean this in a less literal sense of course- although that looks like a lot of fun (I might have to go shopping for hats later…).
